How Good is our Early Learning and Childcare (HGIOELC)

This new framework closely correlates to the work undertaken on the recent review of 'How Good is our School' (fourth edition). 'How Good is our Early Learning and Childcare' builds on the strengths of previous and existing frameworks for improvement. It offers specific illustrations of practice in early learning and childcare (ELC) for children aged 0-5 years. Staff use this very important document to assess how well we are doing and what are our plans for making improvements. Click on the link below for more information or speak to the Head or Depute if you would like more information.

Every nursery, primary and secondary school has to produce an Improvement Plan. This details what our priorities are for the coming year and how we will achieve this. For example we may have a focus on developing childrens literacy skills and we would have a clear plan as to how we will achieve this. Please see the link below for the full Improvement Plan and a more 'user friendl' version.
